Take it from me, this Chicken French Recipe is the BEST you will ever have! My friend, Greg Roland, introduced this amazing dish to me around 5 years ago. Not native to Upstate New York, I had never heard of Chicken French, a popular meal among the locals. This undeniably delicious Italian-American dish originated in Rochester NY when Italian immigrants substituted a popular veal dish for chicken after consumers began boycotting veal in the 1970’s. The dishes mouth-watering fresh lemon and garlic sauce is served over golden brown chicken and plated atop a bed of angel hair pasta. To complete this perfect dinner head on over to my post, Crazy Simple Homemade Bread. There you’ll find the yummiest (and easiest) bread recipe ever!
Entertaining a Large Party?
This dish is perfect for large parties, just double the recipe to serve 12-16! For a fabulous large-party appetizer check out my post on how to style a beautiful meat and cheese tray. Serve with an easy side dish such as roasted vegetables. Simply lightly toss veggies with olive oil, salt and pepper and roast on a sheet pan in the oven at 375 degrees for around 35 minutes. Want to have as much done as possible before your guests arrive? Prep your vegetables ahead of time and store in oven till ready to roast. Additionally, you can make the chicken and lemon butter sauce ahead of time. Refrigerate till ready to bake. Lastly, cook pasta and serve immediately! Bon appetite!
Below are the kitchen utensils I used to create this meal.
