Okay, friends…I need to get REAL with you here. I’m just a girl trying her darndest to bring you nothing but the best. As you know, I take my job very seriously, which means I’m sometimes forced to eat lots and lots of yummy desserts. There are many foods in life that are just not worth eating. The calories and amount of prep work involved don’t add up. As your friend, I’ve made it my life’s mission to sort out the good from the bad for you. This blog post is no exception! I’ve personally sampled each one (perhaps more than once) to confirm (and reconfirm) that you are receiving my very best! I went through the dreadful experience of lounging in total comfort with a soft blanket and fluffy pillow while pairing delicious crackers and creamy marshmallow with candy favorites, like Reeses, Ghirardelli caramel, Mounds bars and Andes mints.
And, now I bring to you: The BEST Gourmet Smore’s Bar experience in Comfort and my FREE PRINTABLE!
Creating the perfect fire pit experience is all about bringing the comforts of the inside of your home outside. Everyone appreciates comfort and the fire pit is no different. It’s REALLY EASY, actually! All you need are a set of comfortable cushioned chairs, fluffy pillows and soft blankets.

What the Function!
Decor isn’t just about how things look, FUNCTION IS REALLY IMPORTANT. I have to admit, I like to take my indoor feather down pillows outside. They’re just so comfy and I have yet to find a comfortable outdoor pillow that is as good or better than my feather downs. So, I’ve come up with a functional way to have the best of both worlds. Basically, we have a “fire pit basket”. This basket stores all our blankets and pillows. When we head to the pit we take our basket with us. When we’re done at the pit we pack our basket back up and bring it inside.
NOTE: We have a Real Fyre gas log fire pit and I love that it doesn’t leave everyone smelling like a campfire, (not to mention that a wood burning pit makes me sicker than a dog because my allergies get the best of me). A gas fire pit means no stale campfire smell, which means I only need to wash my blankets and pillow covers as needed. If you have a real wood burning fire pit you’ll love the functionality of this “fire pit basket”. Simply, pack your blankets and pillows back into the basket and send it straight to the laundry room. Then, once cleaned, return items back to the basket so that it’s ready for your next fire pit visit.
And This is How We Do It!
This Smore’s bar is super fun for everyone and it’s one of the easiest desserts I’ve ever “made”. No fancy prep work involved, no cooking, no fuss! What I I love most is that it’s totally interactive. Guests get to sample each Smore’s creation and share their opinion. I gathered the Smith family together for a cozy and fun night around the pit to do just that, however, only one of my peeps, my sweet daughter, was willing to be in front of the camera. LOL. All together we sampled each and every Smore’s, one-by-one! The Grasshopper is my favorite. My daughter’s #1 was PB&Fuff. My son loved the Salted Carmel and my husband named the Loco Coco as the best Smore’s ever!
Nom, Nom, Nom
When coming up with your own Smore’s creation think outside of the box (the graham cracker box, that is). We tried Ritz crackers and Oreo cookies, but the options are endless. To keep this activity fun and stress-free spend a few minutes displaying everything on a tray. I found this really great galvanized storage cart that is perfect for my outdoor fire pit. Since I had a lot of candy and cracker pieces to display I took advantage of the vertical space my 3 tiered rack offers. I also grabbed an old large glass hurricane that I used to contain my marshmallows.

As if this post just couldn’t get any better, I wanted to give you this free printable. Print it off and use it as your buying guide for your next Smore’s party. Pop this baby in a frame and take it out to the fire pit with you for everyone to reference to.
Eat Your Vegetables
Among my research I learned a fact favorite that I feel compelled to share. It’s no secret that chocolate comes from cocoa, which comes from a tree. A tree is a plant, which then, therefore means chocolate is part of the plant family. Vegetables come from plants! I didn’t go to law school, but I remembered learning about the art of deducing, which is when one can arrive at a logical conclusion through reasoning. So, I’m feeling pretty “spot on” by logically deducing that chocolate is, indeed, a very healthy choice. Are you following me? Eat your “vegetables”, wink wink!
Cheers to getting toasty and having Smore vegetables!
